Step back in time and join us for a delightful afternoon at the historic McRae House as we celebrate 125 years of cultivating community in Saanich!

The Saanich Volunteer Services Society (SVSS) warmly invites you and your family to our Victorian Picnic, a fun-filled community event inspired by life in 1901.

Bring your own picnic and enjoy an afternoon of:

• Live music

• Guided tours of historic McRae House

• Victorian lawn games

• Tarot readings*

• Snacks, refreshments, and raffle baskets*

Items available by donation. Period costumes are encouraged!

Come explore the past brought to life while supporting SVSS community programs. All proceeds from this fundraising event go directly toward helping local programs and services in our community.

SVSS Closed for Canada Day, Wednesday July 1, 2026

The Saanich Volunteer Services Society office will be closed beginning at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, and will reopen at 9:00 AM on Thursday, July 2, 2026 in observance of Canada Day.

SVSS Closed for Family Day, February 16, 2026

Saanich Volunteer Services Society will be closed from 4pm on Friday, February 13 until 9am Tuesday morning on February 17, 2026.

We wish everyone a lovely three day weekend looking at those beautiful, very early, spring flowers. We look forward to helping you all when we are back in the office on Tuesday morning at 9am.
