We offer a range of social programs to help foster community.
Because of COVID-19 we are connecting clients with volunteers for regular friendship phone calls in lieu of in-person events and companion visiting.

SHOPPING BUS CLIENT
The SVSS shopping bus excursion is the highlight of the week for us. Not only do we get the weekly shopping done, with all the help we need, we also get to know like-minded people.
To meet others is extremely important for every one’s mental well-being. We look forward to our weekly adventure, combining pleasure with the necessities of life.
Any adult who is living independently within the Municipality of Saanich may be eligible to register for our services. Registration starts by a visit from someone on our Client Services Team, who will discuss how we can best support you.

The meals are really tasty. It's a delight to have people like you in the community...SVSS fills a void in my life.

REFERRAL & REGISTRATION
Self referral, health care referral, or community referral by phone, fax, or e-mail are accepted.
Upon referral, telephone contact will be made to confirm eligibility followed by a required home visit to complete the registration for services.
This visit will include a discussion of assistance required and information will be shared on other available community services.
Personal data, emergency contacts, and information on health, mobility, and other support services being received are collected during the registration process.
