Meet our New Staff at the AGM

Mario Siciliano, our new executive director, Caroline, the new coordinator of volunteers, and Erin, the new office coordinator, who are joining our experienced team members, Linda and Peggy, all look forward to meeting the community during our upcoming Annual General Meeting on September 27, 2023.

At this year's AGM we will acknowledge volunteers for their service milestones, feature appointments of new and returning board members and Mario will present our new strategic plan.

Support SVSS through our silent auction!

For the month of October, we will be hosting an online silent auction to support volunteer services across the Saanich community. Starting Oct 1, bid on incredible items from our local community, including original artwork from Pene Horton.

You will be able to bid right until our AGM on October 26, where we will serve refreshments and announce our winners. Join us that day - you won't want to miss the festivities.

Over the years we have enjoyed having Pene Horton paintings adorning the walls of McRae House. Pene Horton passed away last year, and her family donated some of her artwork to SVSS.

Pene was a remarkable lady, and her paintings are her legacy. As a tribute and aligned with our 30th anniversary celebration, the donated Pene Horton paintings are an auction category and will be on display at the AGM.

To bid, click here to go to our donation form form and fill out your bid on any items you see fit. We'll announce the winners at our AGM on October 26 at the Beach House Restaurant in Cordova Bay, beginning at 5:30pm.

You might be eligible for a tax receipt. The receipt would be for the difference between the value of the item bought and the amount you paid. For example: If you paid $100 for an item valued at $25, you are eligible for a receipt of $75.
