Closure Notice and Wish from SVSS for Canada Day, 2025

Saanich Volunteer Services Society celebrates our vast and beauteous country this year by shutting our doors for Tuesday, July 1. We will reopen Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 9am. On Monday, June 30 we will be answering phones only and our office site will be closed. We will not be hosting the walking group that date. If you require assistance, please leave us a message and we'll return your call on Wednesday when the office reopens.
Now for our wish for Canada Day:
In Canada, we have many indigenous and immigrant people who all together form a web of intricate differences and similarities that can both challenge and benefit individuals. We wish for all people in Canada this year to grow our experiences and thoughts in beautiful ways to build understanding and community for the future. This Canada day, whether eating bannock and butter with friends, enjoying a cup of tea outside, or feasting on a biryani or salmon steak, let's enjoy Canada Day in all its differences and splendour. Our Canadian society is perfect in its imperfections and it can always improve or we'd have nothing to look forward to! Enjoy some French Canadian music or the sounds of nature as you contemplate our amazing country on July 1, 2025. Thank you for being part of, and adding your special something, to our vibrant Canadian community!
