World Elder Abuse Awareness Day
World Elder Abuse Awareness Day activities are intended to bring greater recognition of abuse and neglect of older adults in British Columbia or wherever they live, and to highlight the need for prevention and community involvement in response to the issue. We work to give abuse and neglect of seniors a relevance that will sustain and move prevention efforts now and in the future.

Starts at 6pm at Cedar Hill Golf Course
Join us for SVSS’s 27th Annual General Meeting featuring the election of new board members, guest speaker Rob Janus from Victoria Foundation, speaking on a partnership project between the Victoria Foundation and UVIC measuring economic and social activity in the Victoria Capital Region and the celebration of our remarkable volunteers who have reached 5, 10 and 15 year milestones.

The Volunteer Advisory Council (VAC) is the voice of volunteers. The volunteers sitting on council provide insight and vital feedback to help the organization continue to deliver on its commitment to serving the community.
