You want to help but don't know where to start.  Well, look no further – we have the solution right here.  There are many volunteer opportunities at SVSS and any one of them will contibute to a Saanich resident's well-being and will never go unappreciated.

Start by taking a look at the volunteer opportunities and services we offer our clients.  Some of these may appeal and they include. Volunteer Driving, Companion Visiting, Gardening, Minor Home Repair, Income Tax Volunteer, Friendly Phone Caller, Shopping Assistant, Computer Assistant, Packing and Sorting Volunteer and so many more. You may even want to fill in an application form available here next to this tab.  Or, if you'd rather wait and fill it in during the interview and once you have more information that also works . Call the office at 250-595-8008 and book an appointment for a personal interview with Heather, our Coordinator of Volunteers.  Interviews usualy take about 20 minutes as we discuss your application and go over our package of informative material.  At the interview Heatrher will give you a letter to take to your municipal police department for a criminal record check to be conducted which is a mandatory requirement for all our volunteers.  Once you've returned the record check and we've called your references you're ready to go.  Its really as easy as that.  Welcome to the SVSS Volunteer Team!
